Earlier this year I planned for us to visit the Botanical Gardens once the leaves started to turn. It was a beautiful day in late autumn; sunny and warm enough for me to walk around in a t-shirt, although I had baby Seb in a front carrier keeping me extra warm. And sweaty. I got a few shots of the older boys playing in the leaves like Pinterest children before they started throwing it in my face, and then we headed down to the Japanese Gardens.
By that point my memory card was full so I gave up and just used my iPhone – forgetting basic photo shoot prep seems to be something of a specialty with me – and then we visited the duck pond and fed the kids Tiny Teddies before heading back to the car. Right before we left the baby blew out his nappy and leaked through his suit, the baby wrap, and onto my shirt. I ended up changing him in the boot of the car and he went home in a singlet, socks, and a beanie, with a blanket over the top. I had forgotten to pack a spare suit. I blame him for lulling me into a false sense of security because he almost NEVER has poonamis – he’s literally had three or four since birth – and didn’t even have a leak on his baptism day. Pooping through the baptism outfit is kind of a tradition with my sons.
Anyway, enough about poop. Onto the photos.
Onto the Japanese Garden and my iPhone…
