This May I’m taking part in the Fox In Flats Style Dare – an Instagram challenge for mothers and other women looking for new ways to work their existing wardrobe. I love the online community + support I receive from the other lovely ladies, and it forces you to try wearing new things + experiment with your everyday style.
It’s also great incentive not to stay in your pj’s all afternoon (not that I would ever do such a thing). Ahem.
Day 1: White Shirt
This one is fairly self-explanatory ;P White shirt from Cue, layered with a cardigan, gold necklace + red lipstick
Day 2: Up up
Not my best work here, but oh well! It was different to my usual daily ponytail.
Day 3: On my shoulders
Day 4: Geek chic
If there’s one thing I can do well, it’s geek chic ;P
Day 7: Monochromatic
Drape-front cardigan from Just Jeans, over black jeans + t-shirt. I’d forgotten about this piece so I’m glad it’s back in rotation. Looked amazing with a red scarf, too.
Day 8: Vamp vixen
Winged eyeliner, red lips, dark nails. Doesn’t get vampier than that. (Andrea, the creator of the Fox in Flats fashion blog, left a comment on this photo saying I should have it framed 😉 )
Day 9: Dynamic Duo
Toddler + I in matching flannel shirts ;P
Day 10: Channeling
60s mod vibe, with a bonus picture of Audrey Hepburn in the background.
Day 12: Blue baby
This is a gorgeous blue + white printed silk scarf from Target, layered over a navy + beige knit from Jeanswest ($49.99, buy here).
Day 14: Foxy Flats
I’ve worn these ankle boots almost every day since buying them, and at $49 from Target, they’re well-worth every dollar (buy here).
I’ll post Part 2 at the end of the month when the challenge wraps up. Hope you enjoyed 🙂
